One paper ‘Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern’ (War Merit Cross 2. Class w/ Swords) award certificate for the holder of this grouping, which was issued in 1944, and is complete with typed entries and an official unit stamping. The award document has an ink signature of the Luftwaffe General Der Flieger and Kommandierender of German forces in Italy MAXIMILLIAN RITTER VON POHL (Knights Cross Recipient)! Fold storage lines present but still a wonderful wartime document!
One ‘Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern’ (War Merit Cross 2. Class w/ Swords) award, which is in beautiful condition with ribbon attached, that came with the aforementioned award document. The medal itself is in well preserved condition, with no real wear to its original finish and is in near fine / very good condition!
