The soldbuch shows that the first recorded rank for the holder of the book was Feldwebel in 1939, with him rising to the rank of Stabsfeldwebel in 1944. The holder of the soldbuch saw service in a number of wartime units including: Flugbereitschaft R.L.M. (Reichsluftfahrtministerium) BERLIN - ALDERSHOF and Fliegers Ersatz Bataillon IV.
Other entries in the soldbuch shows the holder spent time in a military hospital for approximately one month in 1939, took a number of leaves and was issued a long list of gear including a pistol with serial number listed.
