Offered is a complete original German wartime Wehrpass for a teenage German Waffen SS soldier who volunteered for service with the Waffen SS on September 7, 1939 (six days after the start of the Polish Campaign), and enter service with SS-Totenkopf Regiment 1. The holder of the wehrpass saw extensive combat during the 1940 Invasion of France (ARRAS, CAMBRAI, DUNKIRCHEN, etc.) and then see occupation service along with Atlantik Kuste (Atlantic Coast). In early 1941, the holder would be awarded the EKII medal shortly after which he was transfered to the East, where his unit participated in Operation Barbarossa and would see combat in Russia. On July 10, 1941, while fighting with the 15. / SS ‘Totenkopf’ Regiment 1, the holder of the passport was listed as being killed in action by shrapnel! Posthumously the holder would be promoted to the rank of SS-Rottenfuhrer.
