Offered is a original wartime typed condolensce letter from a German Waffen SS Fürsorgeoffizier (Welfare Officer) Obersturmführer to a Latvian family, whose son was KIA in 1944! The letter is full sized and has heading for the Waffen SS Ostland Fürsorgeoffizier’s office in RIGA, Latvia and is dated June 10, 1944. In addition to easily read details of the typed print, there is an ink signature of the SS Fürsorgeoffizier Obersturmführer. The document has fold lines with some splitting occuring along those fold lines and measures to be approximately 11.75” x 8.25” inches in size.
