Being offered is a huge photo album / photo, award, document and death notice grouping for a German RAD soldier / Wehrmacht obergefreiter who died of wounds suffered while fighting on the Ostfront in 1941, while in a hospital in MODLIN, Poland.

The grouping offered consists of:

One wartime soft cover German RAD service photo album, with ninety-one wartime photos (most affixed in the album, several being loose or large sized images and a few blank spots noted in the album). All photos are military related and show the face of the holder of this grouping throughout.

One Ausweis ID Card for the holder of this grouping complete with attached uniformed passphoto pic and official stampings.

One wartime issued paper award document awarding the holder of this grouping the ‘Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz’ (Wound Badge in Black), for when he was assigned as a Wehrmacht obergefreiter with Pionier Bataillon 241. The award document is complete with handwritten entries and signatures along with official unit stampings; showing it was issued posthumously in 1942.

One wartime issued ‘Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz’ (Wound Badge in Black) award; complete with fastening bar in place on the reverse side. The medal itself is in wonderful condition, retaining most of its original finish.

One large sized paper death notice and envelope for the holder of this grouping providing details of his death while being treated for wounds suffered by KALINIL on the Ostfront, in a military hospital in MODLIN, Poland in 1941!
