ID Documents: Luftwaffe Major's Wehrpass & Soldbuch w/ Extensive Wartime Service in Norway!!!
Being offered is a German wartime Wehrpass and Soldbuch to a WW1 veteran who saw service in WW2 as a Major in the Luftwaffe. Both books are complete with all pages intact, passphotos in both (uniform pic on the soldbuch), numerous entries and stampings, etc. Really a beautiful pair of ID books to a Luftwaffe officer.
From entries, this veteran participated in the invasion / occupation of Poland in 1939, Narvik, Norway in 1940 and in the preparations of the the Battle of Britain in 1940. Towards the end of 1940, this officer spent he majority of the rest of the war in occupied Norway being station in a number of places such as Kjevik, Narvik and Herdla. Eventually this officer was transfered to Diepholz in Germany where he joined Fliegerhorst-Kommendanter A 17/XI.
Entries further show that this officer was a POW at the end of the war and spent time in Britain.
Really a terrific complete ID grouping to one Luftwaffe officer worthy of further research!
