ID / Award Document Grouping: Wehrmacht Obergefreiter's Wehrmacht-Fuhrerschein (Driver's License) & Paper Award Documents (Pionier Brucken Bataillon 577)!!!

Being offered is a wartime ID and award document grouping to a Wehrmacht obergefreiter who served during the war with Pionier Brucken Bataillon 577, which saw wartime service in the Balkans and later in Hungary. The grouping includes the following items:

  • A wartime issued four page oil cloth Wehrmacht-Fuhrerschein (Driver's Licnese) complete with tyed entries, ink signatures and official unit stampings (no passphoto pic was ever inserted; issued in 1940).

  • A wartime paper issued ‘Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klass Mit Schwerten’ (War Merit Cross 2. Class with Swords) award certificate, with typed entries and a ink fascimile signature of Field Marshal ERICH VON MANSTEIN (dated in 1943)!

  • A paper wartime ‘Kraftfahrbewahrungsabzeichen in Silber’ (Driver’s Proficiency Badge in Silver) award certificate, with typed entries, ink signature and official unit stampings (dated in 1943).

  • A paper wartime ‘Kraftfahrbewahrungsabzeichen in Gold’ (Driver’s Proficiency Badge in Gold) award certificate, with typed entries, ink signature and official unit stampings (dated in 1944).

Paper documents all have fold storage lines and edge wear, but are still in great condition. Really a wonderful wartime ID / Award grouping for one Wehrmacht soldier!
