Offered is a Wehrmacht soldiers Wehrpass and grouping of paper documents, who served in Grenadier Regiment 106 (15. Infanterie Division) and was killed in battle in Russia in 1943. The death grouping for the holder of this lot includes the following items:

  • Wartime issued Wehrmacht Wehrpass. The Wehrpass offered has numerous handwritten entries throughout, official stampings, ink signatures and a passphoto pic of the holder of the book. The Wehrpass has many details about the holder showing that he was initially mobilized in 1942. Further details show that the holder of the Wehrpass was trained on the Mauser 98k rile, MG-34 machine gun and Luger P08 pistol, and that he was awarded the wound badge posthumously in 1943. The Wehrpass further certifies the death of the holder of the book in Russia in October of 1943, during which time the Grenadier Regiment 106 was involved in heavy battles in Southern Ukraine!

  • A paper memorial card honoring the life of the holder of this grouping, issued in 1944.

  • Five wartime issued paper military passes for the holder of this grouping showing he speant some time in PARIS, CHATEL and CLERMONT in occupied France. All these documents have typed and handwritten entries and official stampings, showing travel between 1942 and 1943.

  • One feldpost letter dated in 1942 sent to the holder of this grouping.
