Offered is a terrific original German paper certificate awarding a Luftwaffe obergefreiter serving in 4. / Flak Regiment 26 the ‘Verleihungsurkunde für das Kampfabzeichen der Flakartillerie’ (Flak Badge) in 1941! The award document is complete with typed entries, official unit stamping and is signed in ink by Luftwaffe General Der Flieger and Kommandeur of Luftgau XI LUDWIG WOLFF (Knights Cross Recipeint)! The award document is in fair condition, with a storage fold line across the center of the document and some chipping and general wear along the border edges and center line. The award document is lightly glued to a piece of backing paper, which can probably be peeled away from if desired. The award document measures to be approximately 8” x 5.75” inches in size. A very excellent piece of militaria with an asking price well under what other such documents are being sold for on the open market! Not one too be missed!
