Being offered is a rare and beautiful complete grouping to a Kriegsmarine matrose sailor for the Kriegsabzeichen fur Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungsverbande (Minesweeper Badge). The grouping includes:
Original wartime paper award document showing issuing of the award, which shows it was awarded in 1942 to the named sailor who at the time was assigned to the Channel Front with 4. Sicherungsdivision (note ink signature from a Fregattenkapitan - document has fold lines and hole punch marks on left border edge - still a solid wartime original paper award document).
Original Kriegsmarine Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd- und Sicherungsverbände award badge. The has a good amount of its original finish intact and while the fastening pin on the reverse side is present and intact the pin holder is missing. Still a great original wartime medal piece.
