Offered is a rare original grouping for a Luftwaffe Feldwebel (promoted to this rank in 1942), who served as a flugmeldienst (air traffic controller), who saw wartime service in a number of units - including many associated with Luftlotte Kommando 2! The grouping incldues:

• Wartime issued wehrpass complete and intact with a photo of the holder, numerous handwritten text entries and stampings throughout.

• An orinal War Merit Cross w/ Swords medal complete with attached ribbon.

The unit and battle participation listings for this airman are extensive with notable service in Afrika, Sicily, Italy and Malta campaigns! The wehrpass shows this veteran ended the war in 1945 attached to Flak units (II. / Flak Regiment 5 being noteworthy which ended the war being part of the defenses of Northern Italy)!
