Being offered for sale is a very unique and rare paper grouping covering the wartime death of a German Waffen SS panzer grenadier, who served in the SS Panzergrenadier Regiment. 2, which was assigned to 1. Waffen SS LAH’ Panzer Division. The named veteran, who saw prior service as an airman with the Luftwaffe (note death notice photo of his in Luftwaffe uniform with Glider Badge worn), was listed as being KIA by BJELGOROD in Russian in 1943.

The grouping includes:

  • Original wartime four page paper death notice for this veteran

  • Original wartime issued Deutsches Reich Arbeitsbuch book for this veteran

  • An original Wehrmacht leave pass for this veteran issued in 1941 for travel between SALONIKI, Greece to BELGRAD, Yugoslavia

  • Four wartime muti page letters home from this veteran to his mother dated all in 1943; the year he was KIA

  • One feldpost letter with envelope (noted ‘gefallen fur grossdeutschland’ on ink on cover) sent to the veteran in 1943
