Offered is a complete original German wartime Wehrpass for a Wehrmacht soldier who served with Artillerie Regiment 44 (Batterie 689). The Wehrpass is complete with handwritten and stamped entries along with an attached passphoto pic of the holder affixed to the inside. The holder of this wehrpass saw extensive combat in the 1940 Campaign, with noted fighting in Luxembourg and along the Maginot Line in France. The holder of the book was then deployed to occupied Norway (1942), where his unit was deployed for coastal defence. Many great notations are in the book including weapons trained on (MP40 maschinenpistole, Mauser 98k rifle, Luger P08 pistol and MG-34 machine gun), awards (Sudetenland 1938 & EKII 2. Klasse medals), training (funker signals / driver courses) and many other wonderful details. In 1943, the holder of the book suffered a significant illness and spent time in lazaretts (hospitals) in KRISTIANSUND and TOVJE, Norway.
