Document Lot: German 4. Waffen SS Polizei Grenadier Division Soldier's Führerschein (Driver's License), Soldbuchersatz (Replacement Pay Book) & Post War Identity Card!!!
Being offered is a unique wartime document grouping for a German who saw wartime service in a number of primarily Waffen SS Artillerie units, primarily while serving with 4. Waffen SS Polizei Grenadier Division. The documents are as follows:
A four page Waffen SS Furherschein (Military Driver’s License) - in good condition with binding reinforced with paper tape; no photo (which is not unusual for these license’s; but filled with typed entries, and stampings. The issuing of this license was done in 1944 by a Sturmbahnfuhrer with the stab of SS Polizei Artillerie Regiment 4 (SS Polizei Grenadier Division) noted by feldpost stamping of 12999A.
A paper bound eight page Soldbuchersatz (Replacement paybook) for this veteran. The hand crafted soldbuch has its pages attached by string and is completely hand filled out, with numerous details noted for this named veteran. The last filled in page for this replacement soldbuch has a signature of a Waffen SS Hauptsutrmfuhrer complete with SS ink stamping; dated of issuing being 1945. Great details including ranks attained, promotion information, awards received, units served with, etc.
A post war (issued in 1946) four page German identity card issued by the Allied occupation forces. The identity book in complete with typed information of the holder, official government issuing stampings and a holder of the ID book. The ID book is in very good condition and complete.
