Offered is an original Wehrmacht gefreiter’s Wehrpass, in which the holder was shown as being KIA in Slovakia in 1944, while serving with Ski-Jäger Regiment 1; which was part of 1. Ski-Jäger-Division.
The wehrpass offered has numerous handwritten entries throughout, official stampings, ink signatures and notations. The wehrpass has many details about the holder showing that he was initially mobilized in 1941, serving with a variety of unit before being assinged to a Jäger-Ersatz Bataillon in 1943, then to 3. / Ski-Jäger Regiment 1 in 1943. The wehrpass shows weapons training, combat deployments of which there were many, wounds suffered, trainings and a rank promotion. The wehrpass further certifies the death of the holder of the book in Slovakia in 1944, where 1. Ski-Jäger-Division was involved with heavy battles with the Russian Army during that time! The only drawn back to this magnificent wehrpass is that pages 1-2 are missing; however all the remaining pages of the wehrpass are securely bound and attached to the cover.
