Offered for sale is a wartime original Kriegsmarine destroyer war badge (Zerstörerkriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central depiction of a destroyer cutting through waves, the reverse with a crimped hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, topped by a stabilizer, maker marked with the logo of S.H.u.Co. (Sohni, Heubach & Co.) manufacturers stamping. Some light wear (see scans) but still a wonderfully intact wartime badge!
