Offered for sale is a wartime original Luftwaffe Flak award badge (Flakkampfabzeichen). Constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse consisting of an oval oak wreath joined together at the base by a ribbon and topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, all overlaid by a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a raised narrow barrel hinge signature to manufacture by Gustav Brehmer, vertical round wire pinback, and flat wire catch, maker marked “Brehmer, Markneukirchen” on the reverse. Finish for this piece is beautifully intact! Really a wonderful war badge of the Luftwaffe priced to sell!
