Offered is a truly wonderful award document lot to one Wehrmacht gefreiter / grenadier who served with Grenadier Regiment. 45 & Kampfgruppe Richter, which was attached to the 21. Infanterie Division. The lot offered includes:

  • An original paper award document for the holder of this grouping awarding him the Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse (Iron Cross), dated in 1943. The award has an ink signature of Wehrmacht Generalleutnant GERHARD MATZKY, who was a knights cross recipient.

  • An original paper award document for the holder of this grouping awarding him the Verwundetenabzeichen (wound Badge) in Silver, dated in 1945.

  • An original paper award document for the holder of this grouping awarding him the Verwundetenabzeichen (wound Badge) in Black, dated in 1943.

  • An original paper award document for the holder of this grouping awarding him the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen (assault badge) in Silver, dated in 1943.

  • A tow page handwritten letter to the holder of this gropuping from his kommandeur dated in 1943, detailing the awarding and enclosing of his Infanteri-Sturmabzeichen award.

All documents are complete with ink or typed text, original signatures and official stampings. All also have alligned two hole punch marks on their left hand border edges, presumably for storage purposes.
