Being offered is a really rare grouping of twelve photographs (8 wartime and 4 post-war) showing the life of Luftwaffe Zerstörergeschwader. 26 Fighter Pilot Oberstleutnant KARL BÖHM-TETTELBACH. BÖHM-TETTELBACH flew Messerschmitt Me-110 fighters with ZG.26, scoring at least six aerial victories all of which appear to be US B-17 bombers. BÖHM-TETTELBACH would receive numerous awards including the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, and survive the war eventually relocating to the United States.

The lot offered includes:

  • Eight wartime original photographs showing wonderful views of BÖHM-TETTELBACH in uniform, several of which he can be seen wearing the ‘Geschwader Horst Wessel’ cuff title. These photos all measure to be between 5.75” x 4.5” and 4.5” x 3.5” inches in size.

  • One large wartime photo printed post war on glossy photopaper showing BÖHM-TETTELBACH with famed Luftwaffe fighter pilot and eneral ADOLF GALLAND, which measures to be approximately 7” x 5” inches in size.

  • Three postwar photographs showing BÖHM-TETTELBACH in civilian life. These photos all measure to be between 4.25” x 3” and 3.25” x 2.5” inches in size.

  • One typed and signed document letter from BÖHM-TETTELBACH, authorizing use of his credit card while he was living in Florida in 1989.
